I started this family business in 1978, but my story in this industry began long before that. After coming home from the Navy in 1958, I stepped back into civilian life and went straight to work learning the trade hands-on. I spent five years at Wade Ford doing body work, then continued on through a few different shops, gaining experience wherever I could and learning the value of honest work, good people, and doing things the right way.
After those early years, I moved into the crushing business for a period of time, which gave me yet another perspective on the automotive world and how much opportunity exists in hard work and used materials. But over time, I realized I wanted to build something of my own—something rooted in experience, relationships, and service. That’s when I started Griffin Truck Sales.
From the beginning, it was never just about selling truck beds or parts. It became a way to bring together everything I had learned over the years and turn it into something that could help other people keep their businesses running, their trucks on the road, and their work moving forward. In those early days, I was working as a junkyard man while also building up the truck bed side of the business. It wasn’t easy work, but it was honest work—and I’ve always believed there’s value in that.
Over the past 48 years, this business has grown into something much bigger than I ever could have imagined. What’s kept it going all these years isn’t just inventory or suppliers—it’s people. I’ve had the privilege of meeting customers from all walks of life: body shop owners, dealerships, farmers, fleet managers, contractors, and everyday truck owners just trying to get the job done. Many of those relationships didn’t just stay business relationships—they turned into friendships that have lasted a lifetime.
Looking back, what stands out the most isn’t the parts sold or the deals made—it’s the conversations, the handshakes, and the trust built over time. That’s what I’m most proud of. I’ve truly enjoyed every minute of this journey, and I still do to this day. There’s something rewarding about being able to help someone find exactly what they need, especially when they thought it was going to be difficult or impossible to find.
At the heart of Griffin Truck Sales has always been one simple goal: treat people right and go the extra mile whenever possible. That’s what has carried us from day one, and it’s what continues to drive us forward today. We don’t just sell truck beds, bumpers, and tailgates—we help people keep their work moving, their businesses running, and their trucks on the road.
And after all these years, I can honestly say I’m grateful.
Grateful for the work, grateful for the people I’ve met, and grateful for the opportunity to build something that has stood the test of time.

I’m proud to continue a family legacy that has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember.
Growing up, I spent countless hours alongside my grandfather, learning the business from the ground up. Some of my earliest memories are walking the yard, loading truck beds, helping customers, and learning the truck parts industry firsthand. I looked up to him in every way, and there was nothing I enjoyed more than being by his side doing what we both loved.
At 17 years old, I officially started working in the business, but the truth is, I had been learning from my grandfather long before that. He taught me far more than truck parts and inventory—he taught me the value of hard work, integrity, and treating people right.
Over the years, I’ve gained hands-on experience in every aspect of the industry and built relationships throughout the Southeast that help us serve our customers better every day. Whether it’s sourcing a hard-to-find part or helping a customer find the right truck bed, I take pride in providing honest service and dependable solutions.
Today, I’m honored to help lead Griffin Truck Sales and carry forward the values and work ethic my grandfather instilled in me. This business is more than a career—it’s a passion, a family tradition, and a legacy I’m proud to continue.
